Funeral Home Disaster Diverted

Once back when we had children living in our home, my wife and I were so frazzled and panicked about reaching a wedding on time that it wasn't until the happy couple was sauntering down the aisle that we realized that we had gone to the wrong church. Fortunately, we made a quick exit before the post-ceremony receiving line. We didn't catch the right wedding, but we did make the reception. Yikes!

Two close friends passed away. We attended one memorial service on Sunday for the first ceremony and on Monday had just entered the funeral home for the second. Thankfully, before joining the parlor crowded with family and friends of the deceased, we happened to see their name on the wall by the door.

The service that we thought that we were attending wasn't scheduled until the following Monday! We quickly ducked out the door. Phew!

Because we were all dressed up and with no place to go, as Empty Nesters, we headed to our favorite restaurant and raised a toast to our dear departed friends.
